Coach Caroline Chao, Head Coach

Coach Chao has been coaching lacrosse since 2003; she has also been an official since 2008. She has played and coached at various levels and is the current President of the Cap City Women’s Lacrosse Team, Columbus’ only post-collegiate lacrosse club.

This is her second year at Dublin Jerome and she is excited about her tenure in Dublin (Chao is an alumna of Dublin Coffman High School). Chao led the Celtics to its first winning season since 2007. Coach Chao started coaching at Dublin Karrer Middle School. She then help start the Westerville North program and coached at The Wellington School for one season. She also coached various travel teams.

Coach Chao was the Head Coach of the Upper Arlington Jones Middle School lacrosse program. She took the teams to multiple tournaments and has seen much success with the program. Jones won the Shamrock Invitational (Central Ohio Middle School Championship) Green Division in 2010, 2013, and 2014 as well as the White Division in 2010, 2012, and 2014. The team placed 2nd in the Green Division in 2011. Additionally, Coach Chao’s Bears placed 2nd and 3rd in the 2012 Jackson Shootout Tournament (Jackson, Ohio) and won in 2013.

Ms. Chao has a passion for the development of youth lacrosse. As a coach, Coach Chao believes in a holistic approach to developing lacrosse players.

Outside of Jerome lacrosse, Coach Chao is an avid Buckeye fan and alumnus. On the weekends, you can find her coaching ice skating at the Ohio Health Chiller. She is working on her master’s degree in Public Policy. She also serves as Executive Director of Columbus Gives Back.

Coach George Brown, Assistant Coach & Goalie Coach

Coach Brown started coaching girls’ lacrosse in 2011. He specializes in goalie training, but has been influential in conditioning as well as game strategy. Coach Brown began coaching at Upper Arlington Jones Middle School. He helped the team win championships in 2012, 2013, and 2014. He has coached at several Upper Arlington and Cap City Lacrosse camps and clinics. When Coach Chao decided to leave UA Jones for Dublin Jerome, she knew she had to bring Coach Brown with her.

Coach Brown played lacrosse and football at Upper Arlington High School. He was Suburban Newspaper’s “Offensive Player of the Week” in 2005 for football and went on to play Varsity Football at Ohio Wesleyan University. In addition to coaching at UA Jones, Coach Brown coached the freshmen football team at Upper Arlington High School.

Coach Brown has a master’s degree in Education and is currently a teacher at the Marburn Academy. In addition to coaching at Jerome, he coaches Marburn’s flag football team as well as Marburn’s Middle School Girls’ Basketball team.

Coach Brown believes in building processes and working on improvement every day. He demonstrates positivity when coaching at all times.

Coach Laura AeschbacherAssistant Coach

Coach Aeschbacher comes to Dublin Jerome with fantastic game experience. A former D1 Athlete from Duquesne University, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge to the Jerome.

Laura is a former Colorado State Champion. She led Cherry Creek to back-to-back State Championships in 2007 and 2008. She was All-League Honorable Mention.

Jerome is proud to have Coach Aeschbacher on its staff.
